About

A much-loved Island tradition since 1983, the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival returns every August to The Fighting Cocks Crossroads, just outside Newchurch, for a weekend celebrating local produce, food and family fun.

At the heart of the festival is garlic, grown locally in Newchurch by the multi-award-winning Garlic Farm. Visitors can discover a fantastic variety of garlic-inspired food and drink, browse local produce and enjoy the unique flavours of this famous Island ingredient.

Alongside plenty of garlic-themed treats, the festival features live music, children’s activities, star chefs, local businesses and charities from across the island and beyond. With something for all ages, the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the Island’s food, community and summer spirit.
