The licensed Island Bistro offers a range of good food and drink, most of which is sourced locally. House specialities include homemade authentic curries. There is extensive covered seating outside, with fantastic views of the landing aircraft.
The Isle of Wight Airport at Sandown has been established for 82 years and currently operates as a private airfield. On a nice, clear day, you can expect to see all manner of aircraft from Cessna types to vintage aircraft. You might even spot the occasional fly-pasts of Spitfires.
Children are welcome and even have access to the open cockpit Virtual Reality Tornado simulator. Most Sundays feature live music performances from great local artists.
