The Old Corner Bank building with its Art Deco curved frontage has stood in the High Street in Sandown for many years. It is located just 2 minutes from the picturesque seafront, home to the glorious sandy beaches.
Formerly a bank with quality wooden panelling throughout which the owners were keen to keep as it was so tastefully done. During the nine month renovations, they removed the bulletproof glass and sheet metal but the original counter was kept as the bar.
There are very large windows which give the place lots of light and a feeling of space. It is popular with people who want to sit back and relax and maybe feel like a home from home.
The chef at The Old Corner Bank creates very popular dishes. All the food is prepared fresh to order and they use local Isle of Wight produce whenever available. They cater for specific dietary needs and happy to alter dishes to suit our customers.
