Crafted in small batches and available only during the Autumn/Winter period, in exclusive partnership with John Lewis, the limited edition spirit is designed to capture the spirit of the season.
Rooted in the Island’s landscape, it balances festive sweetness with a subtle hint of sea air, capturing the joy and rituals of the season – from Autumn’s first chill to seasonal gatherings or New Year’s toasts. A velvety, spiced reimagining of Mermaid’s signature gin, it’s infused with locally-sourced Isle of Wight honey, coastal figs, vine-ripened grapes, cassia and orange peel – ingredients that celebrate the island’s harvest and unique microclimate.
“Mermaid Winter Gin is crafted to reflect the changing of the seasons,” said Xavier Baker, Co-founder of the Isle of Wight Distillery. “This year’s harvest has been especially generous, with figs from coastal trees, grapes from the vineyards surrounding our distillery and honey from local hives all finding their way into the gin. It’s a true taste of our community’s abundance, bringing those seasonal flavours to life and made to be enjoyed together during the cosier months.”
